About Us
I got the idea to create this site after playing around with the official WordNet
database.
Their web UI is dated and clunky so I decided to rebuild the interface
and make it easier to use. I'm no expert in linguistics or semantics so I'm hoping
I translated the database correctly. It was time consuming to migrate their strange
flat file database into a modern SQL database. Especially when you're new to the
terms and concepts of semantics.
I'm intersted in the topic of domaining and how one can gain an edge in this
field by applying research from semantics and linguistics. The goal is to leverage the WordNet research
along with data from other sources find and acquire interesting domain names.
